Creating Facebook Ads That Convert To Sales

Unless you’ve been unplugged from online marketing for a long period of time, you know that Facebook Ads are a great way to get in front of the people who want to buy your products online.

However, with so much misinformation out there it’s hard to know what to believe about running Facebook Ads.

When I ran my first ad on Facebook, it was 2009 when the Ads Manager platform first launched. I was doing affiliate marketing for an ebook and insurance offers!

From here, I went on to manage millions of dollars in Facebook ads for companies I worked for and generated profit from those ads.

You can lose a lot of money if you run your ads the wrong way….

This is why I put together my course for $47, Social Media Ads That Work where I show you how to run ads that sell online.

But I want to give you a birds-eye view of how to get sales with Facebook Ads. If you want to dive deeper, I do recommend my video course, but this should be enough to get most people started!

One of the most difficult parts of running ads is HOW to use the ads manager, as it’s kind of complicated (my course covers all this). For the sake of this article I’m not going to go into those details, but focus on what’s important.

Facebook’s algorithm can be “trained” to find your target customer for you. This is why content on Facebook is so important. Live videos and copy.

You want to speak - and communicate to the people who are looking for what you have to buy, and target people based on their lifestyle and interests.

So for example: Music, Magazines, Brands They Buy, Tools They Use, Influencers.

This will help you build your first audience of people called a Custom Audience.

From this customer audience, you’ll be able to track who goes to your landing page, or watches through video content you have 75% through.

From here, you can create an audience (like a bucket of users on Facebook) to do two things with:

1.) Retarget ads

2.) Create lookalike audiences

These are the real sauce of running facebook ads. Retargetting ads can continue to show the same people who engaged with your videos or visited your website more ads for what you are selling. You essentially can repeatedly show up in front of the same people who are interested in what you have to offer!

Lookalike audiences are basically “artificial intelligence audiences” - the AI on facebook finds people who have similar interests, things they talk about, friends, patterns, social circles as who also watched your content and visited your website.

You can then target ads to these people and get more specific to whos going to buy from you.

Eventually, you want to track further down the actions people take like purchasing products from you, or checking out specific pages on your website.

You can then create more specific lookalike audiences of people similar to who purchases your product for example!

This allows you to find more buyers at the lowest possible cost!

For every client and ad campaign I’ve worked with, we started doing this with just $5-10 a day, reading the reports, analyzing the ads that converted, and creating more ads like the ones that get sales!

This process is what I go over in detail, as well as what creatives convert to sales the most - and how to read reports to create better ads! You can register for Social Media Ads That Work here.

So how do we go about doing all this?

It starts with a simple word document! Every ad that I make starts with writing a few lines of copy in a word document!

You’ll want to lead with a headline that does a few things

1.) Grabs people’s attention

2.) Imparts vision on what they are going to get if they continue reading the ad.

From here, your copy is going to break down a story of what the person can expect when they visit your landing page.

This needs to be connected with the creative and landing page copy that you use as well.

Here’s a podcast episode I recorded on Writing 7 Figure Attention Grabbing Headlines

Lastly, using a simple smartphone, recording a simple video that follows the formula of:

Who: Who you are
What: What you have to offer
Why: Why they need to buy it (the solution to the problem they have)
How: How they can register.

I like to lead with what people are trying to do and accomplish, the result they can expect to get and my experience in the first 30-60 seconds of an ad to cold audience, then show people what they are going to get.

Use your words to describe and paint a picture in people’s mind for what is possible for them!

If you’re running a retargetting ad, your ad copy and creative are different. These are people who’ve already checked out what you have to offer and know about your product, so you’re whole goal is to get their attention (sometimes by saying “Hey I noticed you checked out XYZ product”) and to answer any final questions they might have about what you have to offer!

In my Course Social Media Ads That Work I break down this entire process for you to get more sales with retargeting ads, what ads convert, and how to know what’s going to work!

Setting up the Facebook PIxel is a lot easier these days than ever before. Most platforms let you just type in the pixel ID, so check your platform to see if they offer this!

The pixel is what will track visitors on your site, and the actions they take. You will have to do some setup with the event setup tools on facebook, but they are very easy to use to target the people you’re looking for and get more sales.

You’re able to read reports and tell what ads are converting the most and create new ads similar to what is working best, and turn off the type of ads that aren’t!

It’s not complicated, it just takes consistency and doing the right things over and over again to get leads, sales customers, and clients with ads.

I want to help you with this.

My course has a 30 day money back guarantee to anyone who wants to buy it, so if you want to start creating Facebook Ads that sell and have someone who’s done it and gotten results help you, this course is for you!

Preparing For Your Best Black Friday Sale Ever

Black Friday is coming up. It's time to gear up and get ready!

It's an exciting time of year because it's an opportunity to connect with new customers and make some deals with people who've been holding out on buying what you have for sale!

I love Black Friday sales and have helped spearhead multiple 6 and 7 figure Black Friday weekends online for years, so here's what I got to share for this year.

Because of COVID-19, everyone's shopping online, so you got lots of competition from many retailers. That's why you have to start NOW with your preparations!

Don't wait. Start planning now!

I highly recommend that you start NOW preparing for your sales and deals. It takes time for ads to get approved, and you don't want to wait until the last minute for Black Friday deals.

When you launch a Black Friday deal, it can sometimes be a worry that you are devaluing what you offer by pricing it so low. This is just not the case with Black Friday. You get a "free pass," so to speak, from the perception that you devalue your products and services when you make a Black Friday sale!

I would recommend not lowering the price on your main flagships too much, and any new products that recently came out, not to discount these.

For everything else, going 50% off or more is a perfect move. You can also do BOGO deals. Throw in a little extra for people who "act now.”

The best plan is this:

1.) Make a single page on your website with all that you offer. A blog is my favorite to do this one, with all your deals in a row. Keep it simple; not super designed out or flashy with graphics, just links to register, and purchase each product or deal you offer.

2.) Set up an ad campaign with a simple Black image with red letters that directs people to that blog post

3.) Retarget all the traffic that goes to that post during the weekend.

You want to run the sale from Thursday – Cyber Monday – and maybe even a little bit after. I am thinking for some clients doing a 48 hour "Tuesday/Wednesday" deal for some people who didn't take the main promotions.

Keep in mind; the market competition means fewer eyeballs will see your offers, so you have to show up and demonstrate what you offer to people all month and through your deals.

Bonus round: You can repeat your Black Friday sale on New Years and make a New Years' countdown sale.

If you're not planning on running a Black Friday Sale or on the fence, I highly recommend it. Don't even think about It, do it!

Social Media Content Blueprint For More Sales

The best way to bring in sales online is with goodwill.

Trust and rapport is key.

The problem is, many people allow the fear of “giving away too much free content” and wonder “How much is too much?”

They are afraid to give away the secret sauce methods they use to do their work.

And for good reason. If competitors take these concepts, they could put them out of business.

The problem with this is it comes from a foundation that the thing they are doing now is the only thing they have skill in.

When you learn to increase your skillsets in other areas, you don’t have to allow this fear to run you.

I’m not invalidating the fear, because I know it’s real… This is why foundationally, you MUST learn and continue learning WHILE you are taking action.

Use learning to fuel your action instead of dragging your action with it.

When we can teach others the things we know, we unlock a part of us that lets us learn new things and live a much more full life!

Another belief is that “What I do now is who I am?” and this is just not true. It’s just what you do today!

One day, you will learn new things and decide to do something else – or you will just stay the same as you are today!

Now – to get more sales online – you have to learn how to create content that sells.

That’s what I’m going to teach you today.

The feedback loop is so important to this process.

You have to get feedback from your audience of what they need help with.

This happens by asking questions: on your social media, of your friends, family, coworkers, collegues.

You can do this to discover where your area of genius is, and then find out the areas that people need help with.

Often times, these areas are so elementary to where you are right now, but they are the most important, transformational “First Step” along the way.

You want to give away those first steps to people for free!

Identify:

1.)  Where your target audience is at with their journey. This is determined by the level of “excitement and engagement” they give you when communicating on social media.

2.)  Pattern of common frustrations they have

3.) Areas of knowledge that you possess that will help those people in your audience get closer to where you are.

Now, if you don’t know your niche, or haven’t identified it yet, you have to get clear on what you are selling and your goal – and identify what group of people you can help the most.

For me, I’ve identified usually academics, teachers, influencers, authors, speakers, as well as people who sell complex technology products in a simple way, non toxic products for health, or home décor are often who I’m talking to.

I also have real estate agents, marketing agency owners, and coaches that I work with a lot as well!

Because of this, the biggest common problem my audience has is: getting in front of the right people who are ready to buy from them!

What I’m sharing with you in this blog post is exactly how to do that.

You identify the problem and frustration of the people are looking to help. Then, you confirm what you think the issue is by asking questions of people who fit into that target audience.

Start to answer those questions with videos, social media posts, and text posts.

Create blog posts that answer those questions (that’s what this is for my audience).

When you do this, you’ll start to get really clear about who your serving and their needs.

And here’s the 2 elephant in the room question:

How do you know if they aren’t talking to you what they need?

What if I don’t have it perfectly figured out yet?

These two issues keep people stuck.

1.) You won’t know. You’re often guessing in the beginning intuitively, and seeing the engagement you get.

There’s no perfect way to do this, you just have to speak up and put yourself out there boldly!

This is why self acceptance is so important.

You will get haters, you will get people upset with you.

As well, you will probably NOT get people engaging. This is because you gotta move forward or backward in the process and figure out where they are in the customer journey.

Identify the real issues your target customers are dealing with and help move them from where they are to where they want to be!

When you do this and promote your content through ads, you’ll be able to reach a much wider audience.

In my course, Social Media Ads That Work, I walk you through creating ads that find buyers for you.

2.) You won’t have it all perfectly figured out ever. If you think you have everything figured out now, you are believing a lie.

There’s always more to learn. Embrace stepping into being a learner and learn what you don’t know.

Then, step out and discover information about your audience.

This doesn’t mean you are inadequate, or incompetent, you just don’t know what your audience wants!

You have to discover it by asking more questions and being intentional to learn what you don’t already know.

When you do this, this creates trust and rapport with your audience. They can tell that you are “the real deal” and “legit” and become more likely to buy products when you launch them.

As well, when you are creating products, you want to create them with the things your customers want! Give away the First Steps for free, and then lead them with framing, copywriting, marketing ads to the “Next Steps” for them to buy  - and this is what you sell.

It could be a product, a service, or a mix of the two!

This process works for every marketing, industry, product or service but it starts with accepting ourselves and putting ourselves out there to answer this one question:

What DON’T I know right now about my audience?

And then when you can answer this, you will be able to sell them anything.

This One Thing Determines How Many Sales You Get Online

Getting more customers in your business is as simple as just consistently making more offers to more people, more often.

This means you need to show up consistently in front of your target customer, the person who's ready to buy from you, not just when it's convenient for you, but all the time.

When I started working with my coaching client Ryan, he had a lot of great ideas but wasn't making offers to people! As you can guess, he wasn't making any money as soon as he started making more offers his business jumped to 20 to $30,000 per month.

Now, this is impossible with our busy schedules. That's why we have tools for scheduling things and pre-planning, batch production, and eventually hiring staff to help create content more often to get in front of more people.

Put, if you're relying on what you can output, you're going to run out of ways to reach people.

If you can leverage tools like email marketing, advertising, videos, and social media posts, you can be in front of people all the time and become virtually omnipresent.

Now the key is to show up in front of the right people all the time, not just anybody. Random people for the sake of showing up to random people doesn't work!

For example, if you show up in front of people that are not ready to buy your product, say you sell beauty care to middle-aged men, they might think you're cute in your ads, but they're not going to buy your product for their girlfriends (if they even have one.)

This is why coming up with avatars for your target customer is so important.

Intentionally spend time writing down who they are, what drives them what keeps them up at night what they want what they need.

Start putting yourself in the shoes of your target customer and thinking in the ways that they think about things.

When you do this, you can create campaigns that move the exact person who's ready to buy from you from just being interested in your product to purchase what you have to offer.

It's that simple.

Unfortunately, marketers have tried to overcomplicate this simple process because it helps them sell courses and mentorships to make it seem like it's more complicated than it is.

Now yes, running a business is complicated, but reaching your target customer is as easy as following a few simple steps to get in front of people at the right time and create offers to them for what you have for them too.

If you don't know what to offer, people join my fre #GrowYourLife Community on Facebook. Click on the units section and go through my free 21-day "Internet Cashflow Formula" masterclass, where I walk you through step-by-step, creating an offer and reaching your target customer to sell more products to the people who are ready to buy from you.

If you have an offer, it's time to start running ads.

Advertising is the quickest way to reach the people who are ready to buy from you. You can put your ad in front of tens of thousands of people for pennies on the dollar and convert them to sales when you do just a few simple things.

In my course "Social Media Ads That Work," I walk you through exactly what those things are that you need to do to create ad campaigns that get customers in your business.

Stop trying to figure out just what to do with the latest system, the newest algorithm, the most exciting new funnel software, and just start making more offers.

If you don't know what to offer, that's the place to start. Develop your offer. Write it down on a notepad.

What you are offering people is not what you have for sale. It's the result that they get from buying from you.

That's why you need to tell more stories.

Start getting more results and customers in your business... Like my client, Rick: we helped get over 4,000 members to his membership using this simple system of making consistent offers with social media ads, (exactly what I teach you in my free internet cash flow master class and my social media ads course.)

It's time to get off the sidelines and start taking action.

Are you ready to be the next success story?

Getting People To Pay You Money On The Internet

With online marketing, we get to utilize systems and tools to lead people down the buying path and process.

When you are on the phone with people, you have the ability to ask for feedback on que, and answer accordingly.

When you are online, the process is much slower for feedback, so you must learn to anticipate the questions people have, and hand hold them digitally to find what they are looking for.

I am using content, ads, landing pages, email marketing, Facebook groups, videos, blog posts, podcasts, etc.

All of these are tools to meet people at different places to direct them to your offer.

When it comes to asking for the sale, you have to ask with boldness and confidence, but in a way that respects where the other person is at.

If your target customer doesn’t feel appreciated & heard, and what you are offering doesn’t resonate with them, they won’t buy from you.

You could have the best product or service, but without resonating with the people who you are selling to, no one is going to take action!

We have to start stepping out, taking the leap of faith to ask for the sale.

You are not an inconvenience to anyone for asking for the sale. You are not “unworthy” of people paying you for what you do. If someone doesn’t buy from you, it does not mean that you are less worthy than if they did buy.

Your mission is to increase the certainty in what you are selling, casting vision so that your target customer can see what you are offering them in their mind's eye.

So that they can almost feel, taste, touch and smell what it is you are selling to them before they ever purchase it. All this happens during the process of “attention” getting.

Once you have their attention, you want to pique their interest in what you have to offer. Speak the language of the person you are communicating with. Not the language you are used to speaking with your peers or friends, but rather the words and even cadence that your target customer uses!

This is not about you ‘looking good’ or people ‘liking you’. If your goal in a sales interaction is to look good enough for people to like you enough to buy, you’ve already failed and lost the interaction.

You will look better to people, AND they will like you more when you stop trying to use your sales interactions as a way to get self-validation.

You are on a mission to validate the needs of the person you are selling to, so that they know that you hear them and understand the position they are in – and can offer them a unique, tailor-made solution to what they want.

You then want to get very specific and focused on who you sell to. You’re not going to please everyone with what you have to offer. That’s just the truth, so stop trying.

Focus on those who have an interest already in what it is you are selling, and once you have that interest, don’t be afraid to ask them to buy from you.

Make offers, more offers, consistently, over time – repeatedly, keep showing up to people to offer them what you are selling.

Your goal is to build a relationship to where they might not buy from you now, but they will eventually later.

And if they don’t, that’s ok, but you’ll work on creating things to help serve them throughout the process in the future!

If you’re looking for a proven formula to close more sales online, join my #GrowYourLife community on facebook, we’re doing a 21 Day Masterclass in there called “Internet Cashflow Formula” where I’m going step by step through the process of making money using the internet!

Turn Bad Situations Into Massive Success

What do you do when life throws you a curveball, and nothing is guaranteed?

Sit around and complain, hoping they change?

Or develop a plan and a strategy to breakthrough to your goals?

Life has thrown you a curveball right now. All of us have been. For you to be successful in reaching your goals in business, you must learn to make the best of every situation that you've been given.

Everything is not going to be perfect, and there's nothing you can do about that.

We must learn to roll with the punches. We must learn to be resilient, to get back up when life knocks us down!

Once we get past the initial trauma and pull up our bootstraps, we can see the path ahead!

In the beginning, it's hard. I get it!

In my life, I've been knocked down many times.

Just 2 years ago, March of 2018, I didn't know what I was going to do with my life - or how I was going to make money! I had just lost all of my income, and didn't have anything to fall back on except for the skills I had to help business owners make money online!

So I started offering services for free to people to build websites and run their social media campaigns! I had to start from scratch, at the ground level of everything and figure it out!

I taught myself things I didn’t know how to do, like communicating on video every day and podcasting! I wasn’t good at it first. It was super awkward, but I made it work!

Now a year later, I can say that I feel so comfortable on video that it’s my favorite thing ever to do!

In the beginning, I was scared because there was no guarantees of anything at all!

Things in my life didn’t pan out the way I had thought they would - but I had a choice to make, was I going to let this experience define me? Or was I going to choose to do what I needed to do to keep moving forward?

Since then we’ve helped multiple business owners grow their bottom line past the 7 and 8 figure mark with our consulting business, and continue to do so every single day!

Life is going to knock you down.

It's not about how many times you get knocked down! It's about how many times you can get hit, and keep standing up, moving forward!

Resilience and tenacity are the only way to make it in these times!

Be resilient to set some time aside to focus on your goals.

Take some time to learn new skills, be intentional about your actions.

Let go of the need for everything to be under your control for you to be safe and secure.

Plan your days out, and execute!

Take your time seriously during this season. You have to be as committed to your time management as you would if you were working in any job.

For you to grow and reach your goals, you have to start to shift things and do things differently.

Practical steps:

1.) Breathe. Take a little bit of time to rest and breathe. Sounds counter-intuitive, right? Actually, it's the fuel that will drive your results.

2.) Figure out the simplest, fastest thing you can execute on now, today this week.

3.) What don't you know how to do? Spend some time researching how to do these things!

4.) Ask for help. Find someone who can answer your questions. Be humble enough to say “I don’t know everything” and don’t be afraid to look bad TEMPORARILY for the sake of learning what you don’t know!

It’s not about looking like you have it all together, it’s about winning and making a plan that works - that get’s results, and creates the life you know is possible.

Are you ready?
